exclusively to yourself even with 2 people). Gully Falls House is

set on the edge of the Barrington Tops National Park at the most

southern portion of the Barrington Tops World Heritage area.

Barrington Tops world heritage area national parks and forests are at your back door, 5 min to Chichester Dam. 4WD tours, fish in the Williams or Chichester Rivers, canoeing and horse Riding. Walking tours around the beautiful village of Dungog. View the main street shops with their lovely old leadlight windows and the Gresford vineyards open 7 days.


20km from the centre of Dungog. Drive north along Dowling St to the Obelisk. Turn left into Hook St, continue to the Caltex Shop, (.9km) turn right onto Chichester Dam Rd, the High School will be on your right.Continue on the tar road going over the Williams River (concrete bridge) at Bandon Grove, (11.5km) follow the tar until the Y junction,(4km) veer right, onto Wangat Trig Rd (gravel), turn left at the sign to Gully Falls House (2.4km). Continue along the gravel road going through 2 gates, then follow the road down the hill across a creek bed and up until you reach your hideaway. (1.5km) Be aware that the creek flows at all times and during times of heavy rainfall this maybe 3 to 4 inches deep, this usually subsides quickly. 2WD vehicles are ok.

Panoramic Scenery

Just think of walking in the Barringtons on a misty morning with the wallabies and birds. Drive along country roads and enjoy the relaxing country scenery or the mountain roads with there more panoramic views. Visit the vineyards at Gresford and Stroud open 7 days a week. Walk around the lovely old villages of the shire with there many historical sites - Dungog, Paterson, Clarence Town, Gresford, Vacy and Stroud.

Close to all of nature's beauty

Barrington Tops is our backdoor neighbour; no need to drive your car to go bush walking. Walking tracks are marked from the house; you walk into the National Park and State Forest then into the Barrington Tops. Relax on the verandah overlooking Jerusalem Creek next to the waterfall watching the animals/birds or picnic on the rocks. In summer you can lie under the cool waters of the falls or bask in one of the many clear cool pools. Spend the evenings with the waterfall flood-lit listening to the frog sonata or keep the lights off and view the millions of stars. Feed provided for the king/mountain parrots and other birds, chooks (collect the eggs) the cows are grateful for any left over bread. The property is suitable to bring your horses, ride into the National Park and Forest on bush tracks with no cars; we have cattle yards and small paddocks to house the horses.


All the comforts of home

Gully Falls House has large spacious rooms and 2.5 bathrooms with all the comforts of home. Three queen bedrooms and one room with four single beds - certified organic cotton linen supplied. The spa house is a must with 3 walls of glass the view is wonderful. Every room has a view of the bush and waterfalls. A wood fire keeps all the rooms nice and warm.


What a great place to spend the school holidays,for kids to enjoy the out doors make as much noise as you like with no neighbours to worry about. Two people or with friends/family relaxing on the verandah overlooking the waterfalls, just peace and quite. What away to go

Alfresco dining on the verandah overlooking Gully Falls House's private waterfalls, an idyllic setting for sitting in one of the hanging canvas chairs. In the warm afternoon sun in winter watching the native animals and birds or cows and calves feeding on the grass in the adjacent paddocks just relax with not a care in the world. In the summer months relaxing with a book in the cool breeze or at night flood light the waterfall for a romantic dinner with the sounds of the cascading water, night birds, frogs and all the stars you can imagine.

Camp Fire

What a way to relax sitting outside on a lovely night with the warm fire glowing, the surrounding wall to stop the cold and reflect the heat, toasting marshmallows, your favourite drink, turn off all the outside lights and view the millions of stars with friends, family or just the two of you. A camp oven is provided with instruction so bring a leg of lamb, beef or chicken and vegetables are you will have a mouth watering meal and a lot of fun.


Spa House

Spoil yourself

The spa room has 3 walls of louvered glass for your comfort and not to block any of the views of the surrounding bush, birds, wildlife and water falls. At night flood light the water falls, use one of the soft lighting systems available in the room and listen to the night sounds. There is also a heater for cold weather and robes for your comfort. The room has privacy curtains for larger groups. The room can also be used as extra showings and baths.
